Museum Hours and Admissions
The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art is open Tuesday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday & Sunday from 1-4pm. We are closed Mondays and major holidays including Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s Day.
Admissions: Adults 18 & over-$5.00, senior citizens-$2.00, under 18 & students w/valid ID-$1.00, under 6 & members-FREE, Group Rates available.
Guided Tours
Guided tours of the permanent collection and special exhibitions may be arranged at no additional cost during weekday museum hours by calling the Education Department at (816) 233-7003 ext. 306 at least 14 days in advance. We ask that groups have a minimum of 10 persons.
Cultural Programs
A wide variety of special programs compliment the Museum’s exhibitions including child and adult art classes, gallery talks, film series, and performances. Instructional slides and videos illuminating topics in art history are available for loan to educators in the Northwest Missouri/ Northeast Kansas area. Special Events
The facilities of The Albrecht-Kemper are available for rent by individuals, organizations, and groups for private or public special events. Find out more information on the Facility Info page. Bradley Art Library
The Museum’s reference library contains 2,500 volumes and a collection of periodicals and other materials relating to the permanent collection and the history of art. Readers and scholars may visit the non-circulating library during Museum hours.
Museum Gift Shop
Select from a wide range of art-related gifts including books, games, postcards, note cards, hand crafted jewelry, and ceramics.
Access
Barrier-free access is available to the South public entrance. All galleries are barrier-free.
Parking
Please follow the Museum drive off Frederick Avenue to free visitor parking adjacent to the South public entrance.
Public Transportation
The Museum is located on a city bus stop and is featured on the Museum Trolley Tour route. Please contact the St. Joseph Transit at (816) 233-6700 for information about bus routes in St. Joseph.
Photography in the Museum
Visitors are welcome to photograph or videotape works from the permanent collection for private use only. Please obtain a list of photographic restrictions at the Information Desk. Postcard and catalog reproductions of a number of works in the permanent collection are available in the Museum Gift Shop.
