For 40+ years the AKMA has been showcasing the talent of high school artists in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Entry into the Regional High School Exhibition is by invitation only and extends to high schoolers in Northwest Missouri, Northeast Kansas, Kansas City and in the surrounding areas. A “Best of Show” award will be presented along with honors for artists in each category. This exhibition will be on view Sunday, February 27 until Saturday, April 16, 2022.
Artists, peers, family members, and the community are invited to celebrate the opening of this annual tradition with an opening reception on Sunday afternoon, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Opening receptions are free and open to the public. A cash bar and light refreshments will be available. Masks are requested of all participants when they are not actively eating or drinking.
