September 21, 2015 – February 2, 2016

The Exhibition Theme is “GLOBAL” for the Rotating Juried Exhibition Business + Art = Inspired Workplaces The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art (AKMA) has developed the Business + Art = Inspired Workplaces program which will be a collaboration between AKMA and local companies. The Museum will aide participating companies in opening galleries within their company walls that will showcase the works of regional artists while adding beauty and inspiration to companies throughout St. Joseph, Missouri. This partnership is an innovative way for businesses, the museum and local artist to prosper in new ways. Businesses will receive community recognition for their involvement in the arts and allow them the opportunity to contribute a tax deductible write off to the AKMA nonprofit organization, if they choose to sell the art within the gallery. The museum gains a wider and more diverse audience through the community while keeping faith with their core mission. Regional artists will gain additional spaces to display their work and opportunities to gain recognition and sponsorship. These new relationships will help form an active community interaction that sponsors the arts within St. Joseph, and regional Northwest Missouri. The AKMA has partnered with  Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (BIVI) with the development of the VAB Gallery.  This rotating Art Gallery at BIVI’s Gene Field Rd./Woodbine location will offer opportunities to local artists, with different themes on display every 4 months. Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (BIVI) and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art (AKMA) invite Northwest Missouri to view the GLOBAL themed artwork in The VAB Gallery for their final exhibition in 2015.   The Artists participating and their works are listed below:
