Postcards have always represented a point of connection.  They are a means of linking with people who are far away.  But, what role can postcards play in a world in which email and social media are nearly instantaneous and available world-wide?  The AKMA proposes a reconsideration of the postcard.  From children’s classes to amateur and professional artists alike, we will encourage anyone and everyone from the region to create a 4″ x 6″ postcard utilizing their preferred media of choice.  The museum hopes that these postcards will become a point of contact between the community and the museum.
