The Terrace Dining Room
The AKMA Cafe is the perfect spot for an anniversary or birthday lunch, a small business meeting, or just a quick bite in a unique setting. The museum is also a wonderful place for entertaining out of town guests or clients. Please contact the museum if your group would like to request special dining and seating arrangements.
We offer ample parking, prompt and courteous service, as well as an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. The menu changes weekly, reservations are suggested, and carryout is available.
We are excited to welcome Chef Jason Thomas to the AKMA Cafe with an outstanding menu that is guaranteed to please your palate! Remember, We are now serving every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Museum is open for lunch from 11:00am -1:30pm. Following is the menu for May 23, 24, and 25, 2017. Walk-ins are welcome, but we encourage you to reserve a spot before you come.
Lunch Combo – Pick 2 – $9.50
Your choice of soup, salad, 1/2 sandwich, or quiche.
Quiche – Served with your choice of soup or salad in a Pick 2
The server will have the details on the homemade cheese and egg-based combination baked into a flaky crust.
Wedge Salad – $10.00
Crisp iceberg lettuce, blue cheese vinaigrette, bacon, tomatoes, candied pecans, and balsamic drizzle.
Farm House Salad – $10.00
Local lettuce blend from “Lettuce Dreams”, micro greens, local vegetables and homemade croutons. Your choice of dressing.
Strawberry Almond Salad – $10.00
Mix of local lettuce and spinach with fresh strawberries and toasted almonds tossed in poppy seed dressing topped with grilled chicken.
Salmon Caesar Salad – $10.00
Romaine lettuce topped with olives, croutons, parmesan cheese, and poached salmon all tossed in a caesar dressing.
Oriental Chicken Salad – $10.00
Lettuce blend, crispy chicken, oranges, toasted almonds, chow mein noodles, and oriental dressing
Monte Cristo – $10.00
French toast stuffed with ham & swiss cheese. Served with homemade strawberry jam.
Asparagus Croque Madame – $10.00
Open faced sandwich with asparagus puree, crisp prosciutto, and mornay sauce topped with a soft egg.
Carolina Beef Sandwich – $10.00
Slow roasted beef, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and cole slaw on a Brioche bun.
