Drawing for Beginners - Spring Session

Learn the fundamentals of drawing with artist and AKMA Executive Director Eric Fuson! This eight-week course will introduce students to perspective, proportion, line, and shape using pencil and charcoal. Students will work from direct observation with objects, still life, and the figure. Eric Fuson has over 30 years of teaching experience, most recently as a faculty member in the MWSU Department of Fine Arts. Must be 13 or older to participate.

For the Spring session, the session will run from 3:00 – 5:00 pm ($225 members / $250 non-members).

This class is for true beginners and beginner-intermediate students. If you haven’t picked up a pencil in decades, or need guidance on how to begin a drawing practice, this class is for you. If you have previously taken the Winter 2022 “Drawing for Beginners” class, this class will continue to build on that foundation.

How to Participate

Wednesdays, April 13 – June 1, 2022

3:00 – 5:00 pm

Please note: you will sign up for either the afternoon sessions (3:00 to 5:00 pm) OR the evening sessions (5:30 pm to 7:30 pm). These are considered separate classes.
