Drawing for Beginners

Learn the fundamentals of drawing with artist and AKMA Executive Director Eric Fuson! This eight-week course will introduce students to perspective, proportion, line, and shape using pencil and charcoal. Students will work from direct observation with objects, still life, and the figure. Eric Fuson has over 30 years of teaching experience, most recently as a faculty member in the MWSU Department of Fine Arts. Must be 13 or older to participate.

6:00 – 8:00 PM

$225 for current AKMA members

• 2B, 6B Drawing Pencils
• White Plastic Eraser
• X-Acto or Utility Knife
• Spiral Bound Sketchbook 11”x14”
• Stainless Steel Cork Back Ruler 12”
• Woodless pencil 6b or 9b Or Graphite stick 6B/Soft

This is an 8-week class that meets once per week. The dates for this class are January 19 & 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23; March 2 & 9.

In case of inclement weather, we follow Missouri Western’s closing schedule.
