Ready to get back into pastels – or do you want guidance on where to start?
Learn how Jill Tichenor works with pastels. This class will have exercises to emphasize the use of the pastels and techniques and is great for both beginners and those that would like more guidance in their current pastel painting process.
Jill will discuss materials, show examples of her own work as well as famous artists, and have a planned exercise to get everyone familiar with the materials. Students need plenty of paper so they have the opportunity to produce more than one painting. Part of this two-day series will focus on finishing and framing artwork.
Students are encouraged to bring their own reference photos to work from.
Jill will inspire you with her love of pastels. She has been painting with them since she was a teenager. She has been a member of the Mid-America Pastel Society for the last 15 years.
