Artist Talk: Gerry Trilling

Join us for an Artist Talk with Gerry Trilling! This talk is free and available to attend in person as well as view via Zoom.

The events of 2020 have given many of us new perspective on the need for human connections and ways to form communities. The shared, in-person experiences that form our shared memories have shifted to shared virtual experiences. Many of us have used our unexpected time at home to return to neglected hobbies or learn a new skill. Gerry Trilling’s new exhibition at the Albrecht-Kemper, Memory Ponds, fortuitously speaks to many of these issues.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a crocheted circle sixteen feet in diameter, the titular Memory Pond. Trilling used donated yarn to create the entire installation, with the donation of remnants of others’ projects is at the heart of the work.

When: October 17, 2020
Time: 2 PM
