Students will learn how to create the doll from scratch using wire, clay, batting, fiber and fabric.
Jewelry Workshop with Karen Wollner
With 15 years’ experience, Karen is a self-taught jeweler. She has work in the AKMA museum store and is a member of the Northland Artists Gallery of Weston, MO. Students will make 1 necklace charm and a pair of earrings using Sterling silver wire. All supplies will be provided for this class, but if you would like to bring your own tools you are welcome to.

By popular demand! If it’s hard to get to the museum during our regular hours, this is the moment for you! Bring the whole family for an after-hours event featuring kids games and activities, a chance to see our new exhibitions, enjoy an artistic activity, grab a drink at the cash bar with signature cocktails, and much more!
Kids Media Mix-Up
Put your imagination to work by using different mediums to create unique artwork. With a new project each week, students will construct, paint, and assemble projects ranging from sculptures, paintings, prints, and mixed media pieces – featuring Collection Connections with the AKMA permanent collection. Perfect after school class for children ages 6-12. $12 / class or $60 for a 6-class punch-card.
