Artist Trading Card Night

Bring your creativity and make your own Artist Trading Cards- small, collectible works of art created to trade with other artists. Whether you're an experienced artist or just looking for a fun way to experiment and connect with fellow makers, this activity is open to all skill levels!

Paint Your Own Lure Workshop

The Missouri Department of Conservation will also be hosting a special hands-on workshop where participants can paint their own fishing lure. Customize it as a functional lure or transform it into a unique pair of earrings!

• Painting will be open between 4:00–5:45 PM

• The activity takes about one hour, including drying time

• Acrylic paints will be used for easy cleanup

• A clear coat spray will be applied once dry to help protect your design

The workshop will take place in the Education Center Classroom. Missouri Department of Conservation staff will have an information table inside the museum and will direct participants to the classroom.

Dinner & Drinks

Dinner will be available for $8 per person, and a cash bar will be open throughout the evening.

The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art is proud to present the Regional High School Exhibition, celebrating the creativity and talent of high school artists from across the region. Experience a diverse selection of student artwork spanning a variety of media and styles. This exhibition highlights the importance of arts education and offers young artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a professional museum setting. The event is free and open to the public!

Mosaic Life Care and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art (AKMA) are pleased to present the Mosaic Life Care Art Experience Galleries Spring Exhibition, featuring the work of talented regional artists. The public is invited to the Opening Reception on Thursday, March 5, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with opening remarks and awards held in the Exploratorium within Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph - Medical Center.

This exhibition highlights the creativity and vision of artists residing within 100 miles of St. Joseph, MO. Selected works will be on display at the Mosaic Life Care Art Experience Galleries, providing artists with a unique platform to showcase their work to a broad audience.

The Mosaic Life Care Art Experience Galleries Spring Exhibition represents an ongoing partnership between Mosaic Life Care and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art to celebrate and support the vibrant artistic community of Northwest Missouri and the surrounding region. Works on display will be available for purchase, offering collectors and art enthusiasts the opportunity to bring home original pieces from local artists.

Join us in celebrating the talent and dedication of these artists at the exhibition’s opening event. This free reception is open to all, welcoming the community to engage with art in a meaningful way!

Kiki and Cesar present unique cultural based works that examine their memory of home through painting, drawing and sculpture. A Scattering of Jades functions as an anthology of their varied and growing practices. A repository of language fragments, memory images, and mental architectures. This exhibition seeks to open a window into the practice of artists who have immigrated to America and be an essential companion to their growing visual language.

This exhibition will be on view February 27th - May 10th, 2026

February After Hours invites you to an evening of music, culture, and community at the museum. We’re excited to welcome the Missouri Western State University Music Department for a special lecture and performance, La Délaissée: A Louisiana Legacy in Song, beginning at 6:00pm, exploring Louisiana’s rich musical traditions through storytelling and live performance. Guests can enjoy Jambalaya and Gumbo for dinner for $8 per person, along with a cash bar, plus an art-making activity in the café. We’re also pleased to welcome the Noyes Home, who will be on site sharing information about KINDNESS St. Joseph 2026 and how to get involved. Experience the museum after dark and enjoy a memorable night of art and music!
