Florence Pastel Workshop with Jill Tichenor

Have you ever been to Florence, Italy? Do you dream of going? This class will focus on capturing the mood and atmosphere of the beautiful city.

Don’t work in chalk pastels? No problem, this class will be open to all media you are comfortable working in. This class will focus on the basic principles of art such as color, composition, and values. Starting with a good sketch from the beginning, each student will have a finished painting by the end of the day inspired by the recent museum trip to Tuscany.

Jill will discuss materials, show examples of her own work, do demonstrations, and have a planned exercise.

Jill will inspire you with her love of pastels. She has been painting with them since she was a teenager. She has been a member of the Mid-America Pastel Society for the last 15 years.
