Sketchbook Club with Alex Asher

  • Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art 2818 Frederick Avenue Saint Joseph, MO, 64506 United States (map)

The best thing an artist can do is continue learning. One of the ways you can do that is to draw every day! Keeping a sketchbook is important, but keeping up with your art practice in this busy world can be hard. Spend some time dedicating yourself to your passions and join Sketchbook Club!

Wednesdays, April 30-May 28, 5:30-7:30pm

5 weeks, $35 each or $175 for all 5 classes

ages 13+, no drawing experience required!

Supplies:

-BYOB Bring your own (Sketch)Book that is, suggested Strathmore, size 5.5x8.5" - 11x14", spiral bound, 100 pages or more, Sketch quality (not mixed media)

-Pencils, I'm a pencil snob and like Blackwings, but any set of artist grade pencils that have at least 3 different hardnesses for value scales is fine

-Pencil Sharpener or Xacto knife with container for shavings

-Optional: Pocket Sketchbook to carry on you at all times for impromptu sketching!
